I remember the first day I met her.
I worked at the mall at the Dallas Cowboys Pro Shop (oh the irony) and she worked at Spencers right next door. We had never met, though I’m sure we had passed eachother on the way to the food court.
2 friends of mine came into the store to see me then headed to Spencers. Next thing I know they come running back over.
“We found a new lesbian!” they yelled. Like she was a Pokemon to be caught or something.
I was curious so they waited till she took a break and brought her over.
She was wearing a white button up with a sort of vest thing over it. I remember smiling at her and shaking her hand (because my dad raised a gentleman). The spark…..I remember feeling it but I never really acknowledged it until later.
My friends made plans to invite her to my Halloween party and got her number.
Months passed. Halloween came and went. I ran into her again at a local gay bar. She was there with a mutual friend of the group and I couldn’t stop staring at her. She was beautiful but I didn’t recognize her right away. I was dating someone at the time so I made sure my eyes didn’t linger too long. We eventually (and excitedly) came to realize who eachother was.
We have been connected ever since. Our story isn’t an easy one and it is by no means through. I hope to find a happy ending soon. <3

On a completely unrelated note………a girl I used to mess around with just messaged me saying she met this random girl in a bus station. They kissed and, I quote, “her soft lips reminded me of yours.”

Flattered as I am, what the actual fuck?
A) Why on Earth would you kiss a random girl you met IN A BUS STATION?
B) Not sure that I want Bus Station Girl to remind you of me…..just saying….
So glad I have managed to grow up a bit in the past few months.
